Lora-gateway-os not seeing IC880A SPI board ["FIXED"]

Hey folks,

I’m running the Gateway OS on a Pi 3 B+.

I’m running the “base” installation because I don’t need the rest of the stack running on the pi, but I don’t seem to be able to get the IC880A board connected via the GPIO headers to be recognised.

The output from the logs is as follows:

raspberrypi3:/etc/lora-packet-forwarder$ /opt/lora-packet-forwarder/lora_pkt_fwd

ERROR: [main] failed to start the concentrator

Did I miss a step to enable SPI in the base install? (that’s what this error message suggests!)

Some more information about the setup:

Linux raspberrypi3 4.14.79 #1 SMP Sun Jan 27 11:48:56 UTC 2019 armv7l GNU/Linux

The board between the Pi and the IC880A is the “Simple Backplane” at https://www.tindie.com/products/gnz/imst-ic880a-lorawan-backplane-kit/

The board was working perfectly on a Pi 2 running the old packet forwarder via Resin and the code at https://github.com/mockingbirdconsulting/ttn-pkt-fwd-resin-setup

I have run the “reset” script from https://github.com/Lora-net/lora_gateway/blob/master/reset_lgw.sh using the arguements start 22 but that doesn’t appear to have made a difference either.

I’ve added “FIXED” to this, but leaving the inverted comma’s as I’m not sure why it started working… :frowning:
